La Maison Creole

LA MAISON CREOLE/THE CREOLE HOUSE

Officially opened in Oct. 2007, La Maison Creole is the largest and most authentic artifact museum in St. Lucia. Inside you will see tools, pottery, furniture, craft, a traditional house, money, and even a boat, all from generations ago.

Owner and tour guide, Theresa Paschal, collected many of the artifacts while traveling throughout Africa and St. Lucia but most of the items come from Choiseul, her home.

There is no charge for admission but donations are greatly appreciated. Local snacks and juice are available upon request. The group maximum is 10 and don’t forget to visit the gift shop which has locally made crafts, some of which was made by Ms. Paschal herself!

Ms. Theresa Paschal

Theresa was born and raised in Choiseul, St. Lucia but spent more than 30 years working in major Paris, France museums. She brought her passion for art and history back to St. Lucia to create La Maison Creole, her way of sharing the unique culture of St. Lucia with the world. She owns and operates La Maison Creole from her home in La Fargue, Choiseul.
